Art in Fashion I: J.W. Anderson LFW

'Art in Fashion' is the next big trend! Inspired by English painter Graham Sutherland, J.W. Anderson's latest "pretty ugly" collection at London Fashion Week (LFW) 2014 offered an artful distortion of construction over unconventional palette. British designer, J.W.Anderson has once again created a collection to challenge the audience's take on art within fashion. Citing English modern painter Graham Sutherland as a reference point, Anderson appropriated the queasy colour palette of alien green, murky mustards, watery browns, moss and greys from Sutherland's paintings onto his collection. So, especially for Comic Relief, me, I come out to strike a pose for Shelter Cymru, ADRA UK, Noah's Ark Appeal, Tenovus and Merlin UK, because standing up for a social cause improves your society, and together we do better! Styling Blue Pineapples

This is another blog post on 'what the interns are wearing', and today I'm here to talk about 'Blue Pineapples' . This particular design is inspired by the Merlin Charity , who develops projects in Asia and Africa delivering medical expertise to countries shattered by war or suffering from natural disasters such as earthquakes and floods. The illustrations represent the national symbols of the countries where Merlin's work is currently being carried out. This is one of Cup of Daisies ' most favoured scarf and personally mine too. I think it's something to do with the striking contrast of the blue and white colours faintly representing an elegant china vase. I was going for an old style glamour look and wanted the scarf to be worn as a centre head piece.
