Nothing better than spending a quiet weekend some time at a cozy independent gallery and be cultured. There's a certain accessibility about smaller galleries, the ambience is more relaxed, usually more contemporary and less of a formal mystery of ancient history in the surroundings. Independent galleries are worth the visit every now and then, and definitely has the same triumph as discovering a little treasure filled cove of a vintage shop. Artworks have the true power to inspire and even if you aren't a professional within the arts, good art can still speak to the individual. So drop by an art gallery near you the next time you have no plans for the weekend and want to do something different.

I'm a third year Photography in the Arts student, studying at Swansea Metropolitan University of Wales Trinity Saint David. I am working as a Photography intern for Cup of Daisies. My personal work is mainly portraiture, through Cup of Daisies I have been able to continue that interest, develop my portfolio and continue meeting new people. Working as an intern involves photographing people wearing Cup of Daisies products in the street and in a studio. In order to get models I have to approach strangers, and engage with them, discussing the company and the charities it is working for. I aim to approach 'stylish' looking people, to create a stylish portrait. Although fashion is a new area to me, I felt it came quite natural, it was easy to spot someone who fashionably stood out. Orange Jungle

Wearing: Cup of Daisies Orange Jungle scarf, Topshop skater dress and necklace, Levis denim jacket, Givenchy sunnies Apologies for the slight hiatus, we're back with a post filled with orange, coral and bright palettes! Inspired by the brief intervals of slightly sunnier weather in the UK this Spring, why not look on the bright side of things. Featuring as a head accessory in this post is the 'Orange Jungle' scarf . This scarf was specially designed for the Noah's Ark Appeal , a charity in support for Children's Hospital in Wales.  I've paired the headscarf with a coral skater dress, colourful statement necklace and a dark-wash denim jacket.
