The First Hello

Spotted outside a gallery in London Soho last weekend (proudly lugging round purchases from the Isabel Marant H&M collection).
This photo captures/rounds me up perfectly- I love my fashion and I love art. Art galleries are like my guilty pleasures where I escape to culture infused solitude. It's something I love doing alone (though my brother is also a good partner in crime seeing as he's an artist in the making) because let's face it, it's not for the faint hearted ones really. Art is subjective and can be controversial, do approach with caution!
Anyway, I'm the PR Girl blogging for Cup of Daisies online on all things fashionable and stylish, luxurious and trendy, and also lifestyle. Cup of Daisies is a Fashion label dedicated to work for a social change by supporting Tenovus, Shelter Cymru, ADRA, Merlin and Noah's Ark Appeal through ethical designer silk scarves.
I will talk more about these scarves in blogposts to come (hint: they are super unique and each tell a different story behind the print). I'm Cardiff based most times, the above photos were a mini London getaway last week which I enjoy doing every now and then.
So stay tune for more blogposts to come, hope it's been a nice introductory hello :)

Art in Fashion I: J.W. Anderson LFW

'Art in Fashion' is the next big trend! Inspired by English painter Graham Sutherland, J.W. Anderson's latest "pretty ugly" collection at London Fashion Week (LFW) 2014 offered an artful distortion of construction over unconventional palette. British designer, J.W.Anderson has once again created a collection to challenge the audience's take on art within fashion. Photo: Isidore Montag "In plebeian terms, if "pretty ugly" were a thing, Anderson nailed it. Citing English modern painter Graham Sutherland as a reference point, Anderson appropriated the queasy colour palette of alien green, murky mustards, watery browns, moss and greys from Sutherland's paintings onto his collection. Anderson went further by employing "ugly" fabrics like corduroy, black satin and a two-toned seaweed woven mix as a personal challenge this time. Admittedly, some of these fabrics are among his most abhorred." It is the very juxtaposition ...

RED NOSE DAY and the Hindmarch bags xx

Oscar Wilde: Be yourself everyone else is already taken! At "Cup of Daisies", we try to mix a bit of eclectic fashion with the relationship between charities and social awareness! So, especially for Comic Relief, me, I come out to strike a pose for Shelter Cymru, ADRA UK, Noah's Ark Appeal, Tenovus and Merlin UK, because standing up for a social cause improves your society, and together we do better! My selected design from the Comic Relief campaign for March 2015 was designed by Anya Hindmarch...yes, the Hindmarch bags!                                                              I am wearing the Nosebot!      ...

Styling Blue Pineapples

This is another blog post on 'what the interns are wearing', and today I'm here to talk about 'Blue Pineapples' . This particular design is inspired by the Merlin Charity , who develops projects in Asia and Africa delivering medical expertise to countries shattered by war or suffering from natural disasters such as earthquakes and floods. The illustrations represent the national symbols of the countries where Merlin's work is currently being carried out. This is one of Cup of Daisies ' most favoured scarf and personally mine too. I think it's something to do with the striking contrast of the blue and white colours faintly representing an elegant china vase. I was going for an old style glamour look and wanted the scarf to be worn as a centre head piece.  With the head piece in mind, I worked my outfit around it and decided to pair the look with a two piece combo which I purchased recently from the H&M Trend collection for the season, a ...
