Hello 2014, We are going to make this Cup Of Daisies year!

Happy New Year! 2014 has well and truly began and what better time of year to make a change to not only your life but another life too. This year the Cup Of Daisies team have lots of exciting plans, and we want you to become part of them!

Before the Christmas holidays, the PR team, creator and owner of the label and videoing and photographing team met up for the final time of 2013 to get a kick start on the 2014 plans.  On our Instagrams, we showed you a sneak peak of a behind the scene's tutorial video for our scarves. Myself and J, used our imagination, along with our different styles to come up with 5 different ways that you can style our scarves. A little help from one fashion lover to another.

The scarf above is called "Blue Pineapple" and is designed for a purpose. 10% of the sale price goes to the charity, Merlin. The print was inspired by the Merlin Charity. The charity develop projects in Asia and Africa delivering medical expertise in countries shattered by war, earthquake or floods from emergency to recovery. The illustration brings together national symbols of all the countries where Merlin currently operates. Each country is represented by either a flower, an animal or a fruit.

Not only will this scarf look beautiful with an every day outfit, you are also representing peace and love towards those who suffer from natural disasters and the hatred of others.

LETS STOP HOPING & LETS START HELPING THIS YEAR!

Art in Fashion I: J.W. Anderson LFW

'Art in Fashion' is the next big trend! Inspired by English painter Graham Sutherland, J.W. Anderson's latest "pretty ugly" collection at London Fashion Week (LFW) 2014 offered an artful distortion of construction over unconventional palette. British designer, J.W.Anderson has once again created a collection to challenge the audience's take on art within fashion. Photo: Isidore Montag "In plebeian terms, if "pretty ugly" were a thing, Anderson nailed it. Citing English modern painter Graham Sutherland as a reference point, Anderson appropriated the queasy colour palette of alien green, murky mustards, watery browns, moss and greys from Sutherland's paintings onto his collection. Anderson went further by employing "ugly" fabrics like corduroy, black satin and a two-toned seaweed woven mix as a personal challenge this time. Admittedly, some of these fabrics are among his most abhorred." It is the very juxtaposition ...

RED NOSE DAY and the Hindmarch bags xx

Oscar Wilde: Be yourself everyone else is already taken! At "Cup of Daisies", we try to mix a bit of eclectic fashion with the relationship between charities and social awareness! So, especially for Comic Relief, me, I come out to strike a pose for Shelter Cymru, ADRA UK, Noah's Ark Appeal, Tenovus and Merlin UK, because standing up for a social cause improves your society, and together we do better! My selected design from the Comic Relief campaign for March 2015 was designed by Anya Hindmarch...yes, the Hindmarch bags!                                                              I am wearing the Nosebot!      ...

Styling Blue Pineapples

This is another blog post on 'what the interns are wearing', and today I'm here to talk about 'Blue Pineapples' . This particular design is inspired by the Merlin Charity , who develops projects in Asia and Africa delivering medical expertise to countries shattered by war or suffering from natural disasters such as earthquakes and floods. The illustrations represent the national symbols of the countries where Merlin's work is currently being carried out. This is one of Cup of Daisies ' most favoured scarf and personally mine too. I think it's something to do with the striking contrast of the blue and white colours faintly representing an elegant china vase. I was going for an old style glamour look and wanted the scarf to be worn as a centre head piece.  With the head piece in mind, I worked my outfit around it and decided to pair the look with a two piece combo which I purchased recently from the H&M Trend collection for the season, a ...
